We are now living in the T-Pain era of choruses and hooks composed of autotune catchiness. And while many attribute this idea to Roger Troutman, best known for the hit "Computer Love", I thought this would be a good segment to show some history of the talkbox being used even before Roger Troutman. The incredible musical genius Stevie Wonder, who many have said inspired Troutman to begin using it in his music can be seen in this short segment doing a rendition of The Carpenters song "Close To You".
