Mos Def - The Ecstatic

I recently bought this cd and I'm really impressed. I was open to Mos' experimentation on The New Danger, but not a big fan of how it was executed, and consequently, only liked about 4-5 songs from that album. True Magic contained a more traditional hip hop approach, but it just seemed to be unfocused and so I was questionable about this new project. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this album is very focused and put together seamlessly. The production is dope, and I think this is some of the best rhyming Mos has done since Black On Both Sides. I would give this album a 4/5.
